NEw MBA Season Set to Go
After a long wait MBA basketball is set to start back as normal.
COVID PRECAUTIONS TO REMAIN IN PLACE
Sadly COVID 19 is still prevalent in society and caution is still required. Many clubs have set up procedures for their activities and wish to continue with them into the new season. At our recent AGM clubs agreed that the COVID Protocols should remain in place at this time regardless of the lifting of restrictions nationally
All players and officials will be expected to carry out their personal COVID symptoms check on game day.
Courts will be available 15 minutes before the tip off time shown on the fixtures list Participants are advised to arrive 5-10 minutes before this to enable screening to take place and a full warm up.
Screening data should be provided to the home team using the Pre Game Information Sheet in time for these to be printed. Arrival data will be added to these sheets at the reception desk.
Some clubs and venues may have additional precautions in place,
NEW DIVISION FORMAT
Whilst the green light has been given to resume our basketball competition as normal at the end of September the effects of the COVID situation remain unclear. Our 2019/2020 division structure would not give us any room for manoeuvre. Also the relative strength of each of the teams is unclear, as player rosters will have changed. Therefore at our AGM clubs agreed that we would move to a three division structure with a review in February 2022
All clubs, players and officials taking part must be registered with Basketball England for 2021/2022. Renew your licence here
